Federico Nitti is a Berlin based artist who manipulates code, electronics, and live-video streams to produce a synaesthetic universe of colour and motion.
Working with cutting-edge technology, Nitti’s symbiotic productions are diverse, each with its own unique and immersive aesthetic, developed in tandem with his wide variety of collaborators.
Detailed oriented and innovative, his work extends the possibilities of individual technologies, to apply existing hardware and software in new ways. His specific focus is to expand the space in which video and light can work with sound to produce a new sensory stimulatory experience. His deep understanding of sound and music allows him to mirror the processes used by his collaborators. Through this mirroring, and the re-appropriation of various technologies, he is able to create deep and meaningful translations of his collaborators’ artistic vision. His goal for each collaboration is to expand possibilities, acting as a tool to support the artist realise their own vision and emphasise their aesthetic in the visual realm.
Selecting imagery with strong personal and emotional significance for the artists is an important part of this process. These images are then repurposed to create the core of a live show, and blended with geometric visual elements generated in real-time. is He uses improvisation techniques and flow An adept improvisor, manipulating light, video, and code in real-time to create
